Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Thematic whose prototype was created for the management of climate change in the vineyard but which is adaptable to other agricultural crops and other economic sectors.
In addition to allowing all the geographic information management of an entity, in a standardized and interoperable way, INFRAVINI has several thematic applications that aim to support the decision support of its customers, in the fight against climate change. Accessible at http://www.infravini.pt, the available version presents the prototype created within the scope of the R&DT Co-Promotion project that resulted in INFRAVINI, and whose additional information can be consulted here.
INFRAVINI COMPONENTS
PROVISION OF GEOSPACIAL INFORMATION:
– availability of relevant geospatial information on the theme of climate change, thus allowing its presentation on the territory, enabling a reading and interpretation of effective information about the places.
INTEGRATION OF STATIONS AND SENSORS:
– standardization of information from meteorological stations and sensors installed in the field, with the availability of readings in real time;
PRODUCTION OF CLIMATE AND AGRONOMIC INDICATORS:
– availability of a set of indicators that make it possible to interpret the meteorological, climatological and agronomic evolution in the short and medium/long term, fundamental information to support farmers’ decision-making;
STANDARDIZATION AND STANDARD PROTOCOLS:
– system developed in accordance with standard protocols and international norms (INSPIRE and OGC – Open Geospatial Consortium) allowing the integration of information made available by other organizations (DGT, IFAP, CIM’s, Municipalities, among other entities), as well as the availability of information from the company itself entity to other bodies.
EYESonTRAPS Solution
OBSERVATORY:
FORECAST CLIMATE INFORMATION:
Integration of different types of sensors used in agriculture (EMA’s, Soil Probes, Irrigation Systems, among others), made available by different suppliers, with the possibility of integrating both systems or integrating the data measured in the sensors in the SIGP, with the availability of charts and statistics for the evolution of measurements and issuing of warnings and alerts on climatological occurrences with implications for the cultures of customers.
INFRAVINI module that provides relevant bioclimatic indicators for viticulture, calculated through physical-mathematical models with climate simulations and for the RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios until the end of the 21st century. The calculated indices have a spatial resolution of 1 km and were calibrated and validated using data from local meteorological stations and experimental measurements of several parameters in the vineyard, obtained within the project partners.
SENSOR NETWORK INFORMATION:
INDICATORS:
Module that implements the collection and storage of climate series in a standardized and interoperable way, with the presentation of sensor network readings.
Module that provides a set of indicators obtained through the installed network of sensors, created specifically for monitoring the meteorological and climate evolution in viticulture.
CATALOG:
Through the service catalog it is possible to access information sectioned by categories and metadata search, which allows to make known all the characteristics of the geographic information that constitutes INFRAVINI.
