Waterknow

Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure
for Intelligent Management of Water Resources

The WATERKNOW project – Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure for Intelligent Management of Water Resources (GKI), is dedicated to the development of an advanced Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure (GKI) designed to improve water resource management and prevent drought and other events related to water use and management. WATERKNOW will provide a ‘hydrological forecast’ (7 to 10 days) and detailed medium- and long-term climate scenarios, offering essential insights and predictive analyses to support proactive decision-making and strategic planning in water management.

Development of a Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure (GKI) designed to improve water resource management and prevent drought and other events related to water use and management.

By leveraging state-of-the-art geospatial technologies and data analytics powered by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), WATERKNOW aims to play an active role in enhancing the resilience and sustainability of water resources, helping to mitigate the impacts of drought and other water-related incidents, and ensuring smart management that guarantees a reliable water supply in the context of climate change.

Project objective:

Development of a Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure (GKI) designed to improve water resource management and prevent drought and other events related to water use and management.
